Food was delicious, did not disappoint. Service did excellent job hosting our friend's birthday celebration. Family ambience, great place to celebrate your birthday.

We love Mikuni's at the Fountains! Three out of 5 of us don't eat sushi. But, we love the bento boxes and appetizers. With so many over priced restaurants we find ourselves bringing our business to the ones with great service. Nicole is our favorite!!!Her kindness, and excellent service (always remembering our names), brings us back 2x a week! Even if we get another waitress she is always stopping by to make sure we are taken care of and she's always helping others. She ended up coming to our daughter's graduation party as she has become a family favorite!

My husband and I came in for an early birthday celebration for myself! Despite it seeming busy, they were able to seat the two of us right away. Our server was very attentive and immediately got us waters. We ordered the BBQ tuna to start with both sauces on the side. We ordered two drinks off their happy hour menu which made them each $11.00. The Yuzu Margarita was overwhelmingly lemony and the Key Lime Motto tasted really artificial. I wouldn't get these drinks again and will try something different next time. The two rolls we got were delicious!

We like to sit at the bar as the bartenders are very nice and have good suggestions. The vibe is always friendly. It is always hard to decide what to have because they have an amazing menu. They have a good selection of cocktails with different flavors. We like to start with an appetizer of usually edamame or BBQ Tuna. Always need a roll or two.

It's pretty good. I go there once or twice a year on my birthday, and they let me spin the wheel to see what I win. First time it was a soy sauce bottle. The second year it was a pair of red sun glasses that my dog destroyed a week later. I remember the first time that I spun the wheel, the waitress told me she won a bag of rice once. Their food almost never misses. Sushi is pretty good. Although the Miso soup is salty. I'd love to order more off their menu if I was more financially stable. Staff is alright, not too great but not too bad. Ambience can be very loud and overwhelming if you're not used to it. Oftentimes it's quite crowded and there would be a line outside before they open the restaurant close to noon. Inside there usually are seating available for you when you walk in. It does take about an hour for them to prepare your food.

I love Mikuni! Their sushi is delicious and so are their cocktails :) this location can get busy, but it's Mikuni lol - I think they're all busy! The service was great and we got our sushi and drinks fast. Great ambiance for a business meeting or a date. I just feel boujie when I go here. Pass me the chopsticks please! :3

Celebrated my mother's birthday. Party of 11 (6 adults + 4 kids + 1 newborn) We came in around 2pm and waited for a bit. We asked for a menu as we waited so we knew what to order. I like how their lunch special ends at 4pm. Usually lunch specials end at 2 or 3pm. I ordered a charashi bowl ($25). Fresh fish and a good amount of rice underneath. I enjoyed every bite with my lychee shock. My husband also ordered a charashi bowl and he got full. We were hungry. My 2 kids (5 yo + 2yo) shared a chicken teriyaki kitchen plate. The portion size was more than enough for them. They enjoyed using chopsticks with the chopstick helper that the restaurant provides. We even took the chopstick helpers home. Since it was my mom's birthday, she spun the wheel and won a hat. For dessert, we walked around and got ice cream. A good way to end a yummy meal.

Mikuni is a "chain" of Sac so in regards to this location, I have been here twice and my experience has been good both times. Ordered takeout last night and the customer service was very friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. Everything ordered was tasty as it's always been. My parents introduced me to Mikuni at a young age, we used to dine at the Arden location or the one on Eureka Rd before the Fountains/Galleria was developed. I do appreciate how their flavor and quality has always been consistent over the years. But I have noticed the price increase, which I get because of inflation, but am not a fan of how much the rolls have downsized. I remember they were fuller and bigger previously. We'd usually order platters to celebrate birthdays, holidays, special occasions or if we're just craving over the years and with our most recent platter order, I've noticed how much less full the platter B/D we've always ordered in the past looks now. But if not portion sizes, Mikuni always manages to still hit the mark with taste/flavors.
